Anahita Dowlatabadi
Brief info
Anahita Dowlatabadi, artist and human rights activist, held a successful art exhibit in Italy to represent the women and girls surviving Gender Apartheid in the Islamic Regime. This is a country where the most basic human rights such as the right to choose one’s clothing, sing, dance, play musical instruments and be happy are denied to women and girls on the basis of their gender. However, child marriage and honor killings are legal and normalized by the law. These atrocities and crimes against women and girls need to be recognized by the international world as Gender Apartheid and criminalized. #UnitedAgainstGenderApartheid
