Keyvan Samadi is a 25-year-old activist from Oshnavieh, Iran, and founder of the “Red Sun” group, which provided medical aid and support to protesters during the 2022 Iranian protests. He was arrested on September 29, 2022, following reports that protesters had briefly taken control of Oshnavieh. During his 21-day detention, Keyvan endured severe physical, sexual, and psychological torture.
